Camo Sweatshirt

If you’ve noticed from my earlier posts, I’m having a slight obsession with the camo trend! So here is another camo favorite for y’all to shop–> The cutest camo sweatshirt on sale for $15! As a busy mom, the athleisure look is definitely a go to for me. It’s sporty, comfy, and cute! This cozy sweatshirt hits at the waist making it perfect for layering with a vest and leggings. It’s both stylish and smart to layer your clothing in colder months, but sometimes if you have clothing that adds bulk, consider defining your waist with the first layer. This will keep you from looking like a big marshmallow. This is the perfect mom-style for running around with toddlers, but the sweatshirt would be super cute paired with a skirt and booties or distressed denim! Grab it here. If you’d like to shop more camo options, check out my Camo Roundup a few posts back with some great choices for the entire family. Two more days until Thanksgiving, wahoo! As always, you can shop the rest of my look below by clicking on the images for direct shopping.

Since moving from San Francisco I’ve missed all the amazing architecture and beautiful colors the city has to offer. It definitely makes shooting for a fashion blog so much fun, but I have to admit, I’m really loving all the gorgeous colors of fall that we are able to capture in suburbia. Today’s look is all about the leather legging! I love a great leather legging for so many reasons! It’s extremely versatile, a bit edgy, and always sexy. If you are animal lover then you will love this faux leather option. You can’t tell that they are faux leather because the quality, fit and stretch are fabulous. Take advantage of my exclusive discount for readers –> FALLKELLY15 and snag a pair before they sell out. I’m wearing the Sadi pant but they carry other styles and the moto-inspired Lily option is a favorite of mine too! Sizing – I’m wearing an XS (my usual size, but I also wear size small). I’d say go with your usual size. I can’t wait to dress them up for a holiday party this season. Other outfit dets –> I’ve linked an almost exact copy of my suede fringe clutch here and it’s on sale! Shop the rest of my looks and great options below, including my Cole Haan leopard pumps that are more than half off!

Last Friday, my daughter had a school function so Mike and I took Jack on a dinner date. It’s nice to have a little one on one time with each child. Jack, like millions of other toddlers is a picky eater, but I CAN’T WAIT for the day I can take him to sushi! He pretty much sticks to cheeseburgers, steak, rice or plain pasta! Thankfully, he eats his fruits and veggies but trying to give him anything exciting or new is just not happening right now. This limits the restaurants we can try, which drives the inner foodie in me nuts! I know, I know..patience Mommy, it will come. I’ll keep trying and hopefully one day he will get excited about new foods. Recently, I was able to bribe (yes bribe) him to eat salmon which resulted in gagging. He politely and so sweetly followed up his gagging with, “This is delicious Mom, but I don’t need anymore”. Lol, at least he tried it. Outfit dets –> Although burgundy and wine are everywhere, I’m still loving blush tones like this faux fur vest. Y’all know I like to mix high and low and always appreciate finding a good deal. My Calvin Klein faux fur vest was bought from Marshalls, but I’ve linked several other options. Shop these and the rest of my look at the end of the post!

Camo Jacket

Camo JacketLast night’s Halloween festivities did not disappoint! The kids had so much fun at our neighborhood party before hitting the sidewalks to trick or treat. One of the things I’ve loved most about moving to Danville from San Francisco has been joining a community full of wonderful families that take pride in celebrating our holidays. The kids woke up this morning talking about how yesterday was one of their favorite Halloween experiences. It’s a magical time of year and I love the memories they are creating here. Moving on to today’s style post..it’s all about the camo jacket! I wear this all week-long because it goes with just about anything in my wardrobe. This jacket can also cinch at the waist which provides a little more shape when desired. I wear it with any color denim, over dresses, and my work out gear. It’s the perfect staple to add to your closet, and it’s on sale from $79 to $30. Grab it here! P.S. If you are unsure of what to do with all that candy you’ve acquired, check out my post from last year for a few easy and helpful ideas.

Halloween DIY Pumpkins & Easy Brunch Wear

diy_pumpkin_platter

Donuts are such a hit in our family that they’ve been served at birthday parties instead of cupcakes! On any given Sunday, Daddy will make a run to our favorite donut shop, Christie’s, and bring back an assortment for the family. Chocolate with rainbow sprinkles is of course the kids favorite, Mike loves a chocolate bar, and I can’t wait to gobble up a maple or glazed milk donut! Are y’all wanting a donut now because I am. Haha!

Every year we do all sorts of DIY pumpkin projects. One of my favorite ways to decorate a pumpkin is with paint! It’s so easy and fun. Since Halloween is on a Monday, I decided to host a Halloween themed brunch on Sunday. So when I started thinking about how I wanted to paint my pumpkin(s) this year, I decided on a centerpiece of mini pumpkin donuts! Pretty sure I’ll need to have real ones too, but I think they will make the perfect addition to the table. These are so easy!

supplies

You need:

  • 5 mini white pumpkins
  • Pink, brown, and/or white acrylic paint
  • Paint brush
  • Markers

painting

Make sure you clean and dry the pumpkins. Next paint each pumpkin with your chosen color of paint. I went with all pink because I wanted a cohesive look, but mixing up the colors would be cute too. Let them dry. Next, draw on the sprinkles using the markers. I let my kids help with the sprinkles, but if you want to make these look more professional, then handle the sprinkles on your own.

What to wear for a holiday themed brunch? If you don’t love to dress up, or you need something asap, then I’ve got a quick fix for you. I adore this playful shirt and it’s so on trend! Fashion is having a moment with fun printed t-shirts. Paired with a leather skirt or leather pants it’s the perfect outfit for any holiday brunch. You are a bit dressed up without trying too hard! A bit cheeky and a bit sassy. Throw on some cat ears or a headpiece of choice to make it Halloweenish. For an everyday look there are so many ways to mix up a printed tee. Another favorite would be with distressed jeans, a leather jacket, and a colored heel. So fun! My shirt is only $16, so grab it now.
