H E L L O Fall!!! Team Kimbrough is so happy you’ve arrived and we are ready to eat anything and everything pumpkin related! So Sunday night I came down with a pretty bad fever/flu bug. Ugh, probably the only down fall to this time of year is the onset of flu season. I’m trying so hard to keep it from taking down the entire family because it’s a pretty nasty bug. That being said, I’ve been forced to lay in bed (eh um..when I can, still have to Mom all day) which has given me the opportunity to look up some yummy fall recipes. I’m looking forward to warm and hearty stews, casseroles, and lots of delicious baking! But that’s another post. Today is all about this Anthro-inspired Navy Embroidered Boho dress. I could pretty much buy everything at Anthropologie; the clothing, dishes, bedding, it’s all gorgeous. So, when I find a cute outfit that reminds me of something I’d purchase from Anthro for a fraction of the price, I get pretty excited to share it with my readers. This dress is just that! The heavier fabric will keep you warm in the coming months and the navy and red combo is perfect for transitioning to Fall. Navy and denim are everywhere! The embroidery detail on this dress is amazing, as it runs all the way down the super-cute exaggerated sleeves. It’s just the perfect fall dress with booties or boots! Snag it here for $36 and let your friends think it’s from Anthro…I won’t tell!
Three Things (previous TT post here) on the blog today include sharing about our roller coaster “firsts” and how each child had a different reaction. Also included is the cutest blue and white tie-waist top and my three favorite lunchbox Instagram accounts!
If you’ve caught my posts about Capitola then you know our family goes every year and that also means we go to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk every year! With the kids meeting some of the height restrictions, this year was full of attraction firsts! Audrey was finally able to ride the Big Dipper and she loved it! I quickly realized we have a little thrill-seeker on our hands. Little miss would have gone on every twisting, upside-down, tummy-dropping ride at the park if she could have! Jack on the other hand was a little uncertain. Scroll below to see Audrey pictured first on the Pirate Ship and then, Jack. Two totally different reactions! I don’t think I’ll ever forget the way his squishy, little face looked! His eyes practically popped out of his head and he was holding on for dear life! Thankfully, Grandma held on tight and made him feel safe. No tears, but it’s definitely a funny first I’ll never forget!
Audrey in the upper right corner wanted to sit in the back (with Uncle Kev) for extra fun!
Excited but unsure about what’s going to happen.
That face!!! Priceless!
Blue Tie Shirt
Adore this all cotton tie-waist shirt! As fall approaches it will pair cute with wedges and distressed denim! Snag it here for $20!
Lunchbox Inspiration from some favorite Igers
If you pack lunches for your kids then you will share in my struggle! The kids get so bored of the same thing, but these three Instagram moms know what they are doing! I love following them for menu inspiration! Check them out if you need some easy and healthy ideas to incorporate in your routine. I also recommend letting your kids look at the images with you because not only does it get them excited but it actually helps encourage new food choices! @superhealthykids @easylunchboxes @weelicious
Did I say bodysuit? Oh yes I did. Last year, when the bodysuit trend first started making a comeback I had very mixed emotions. I wore these in my teenage years, am I really bringing them back?! I specifically remember a navy blue plaid bodysuit that I wore often and to my first concert, New Kids On The Block. Still one of the best bands ever! I was a Jordan fan! Did I age myself yet? Lol! But back to this trend. Like many fashionistas I enjoy embracing new trends, but I have to find pieces that work for both my style and age. I tried on various styles – the mesh and lace bodysuits were definitely too sexy for my everyday style, but I did find a few lace-up ones that I liked. Next, I tried on some off-the-shoulder bodysuits and knew this was more my style speed. I like the way the bodysuit creates a flat tummy when tucked in with jeans or, as you can see in this style post, a high-waisted denim skirt. The off-the-shoulder look is stylish without feeling too young for me, and the palm print is right on trend! Y’all know how I believe good fashion doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Snag this bodysuit here for only $15. I’m wearing a medium because I was afraid it might be too tight for me, but I could have worn the small. I’d say it’s true to size, but you can size up if busty. How cute would this be with white denim or a white maxi skirt? It would also make a great addition to your vacation wardrobe!

How are we approaching the end of July? Didn’t summer just begin? The kids start TK and 1st grade in 4 weeks and I’m just not ready to let go of summer! The past several weeks we’ve built so many wonderful memories. Luckily, we have one more month to live it up before schedules take over!
Let’s talk about this tie dye maxi dress! It’s been on repeat this summer for many reasons. It’s light and flowy, doesn’t wrinkle, can be rolled for easy travel, and goes with just about any accessories. Bonus- it has pockets! You can grab it here for $23, which is a steal for the quality of this maxi. I’m wearing the small and it has room so I recommend sizing down a size. Trending Now –> knots at the bottom of maxi dresses. Scroll to the bottom and see how cute and easy it is to add a knot to your dress! Perfect for those beach days when you don’t want to drag the bottom of your dress.
We had such a lovely vacation with the kids in Kauai! I’m still sorting through all my pics so stay tuned for a Travel Diary (last one here) coming to a glaMoMorous life soon. We ate some fabulous local island cuisine that I can’t wait to share about! Today’s post is all about this lovely green dress! I just adore the colors of this airy dress with the varying hues of green! Turquoise has long been a favorite color of mine but I find myself loving these greens! Maybe it’s all those palm tree prints that are sweeping summer fashion. Anyhow this dress is such a steal at $24. It’s top rated and I love that it’s the perfect shape for all body types! I’m wearing a size small (my usually size) and it has plenty of room. I’d say if you usually wear a size medium you could probably get away with a small. Shop it here, it’s definitely one of my new favorite dresses for summer!
Rare appearance from my love!
