Fall Favorites

Fall_RoundUp_2015It’s hard to believe that we are in mid-October and Fall seems to still be in hiding. Our neigboohood streets are beginning to show a glimpse of weather change, as the autumn colored leaves dance amongst the wind. It’s so beautiful during this time of year, and I find myself constantly snapping pictures of the kids playing in the leaves. With the weather finally changing, I’m looking forward to making hearty and warm meals, baking pies and cookies, and indulging in hot cocoa with the kids. Like many, I’m also ready to switch from sundresses to cozy layers! So, today’s roundup is a little fall inspiration for y’al! Showcasing some of this season’s biggest trends at a range of prices. Plaids, flares, maxi’s, and all kinds of boots are a great way to update your wardrobe.

One – My Rebecca Minkoff fringe bag has been a popular item on my Instagram, so I was excited about this smaller version. It’s the perfect size. Bonus – It comes in many colors!

Two – A colored floppy is so chic with a touch of boho. Try this navy option from one of my favorites.

Three –  I’m loving the muted grey, navy, and wine options with this jacket vest. It’s such a versatile piece for wearing over lightweight sweaters and jeans, or long dresses.

Four – At only $20 I love this Fall maxi dress. Pair it with a longer vest and booties! Short sleeve option here.

Five – Plaid button downs are here for another season. These are definitely a go-to for me! Love plaid from here too!

Six – Blanket scarves are another cheap and great way to update your fall wardrobe. Target currently has many great options to choose from.

Seven – Simple gold jewelry is always on my want list. SofiaKaman has the most beautiful jewelry. It’s a bit of an investment. Both whimsical and boho, it’s completely timeless so you won’t ever regret the splurge.

Eight (no longer available)- A great pair of retro sunnies makes any outfit. Here is a fabulous Ray-Ban option and love this Madewell pair as well.

Nine – High fashion says farewell to skinnies, but not this girl. I still adore my skinnies, but am very excited about the updated shape and fit for women’s jeans. If you only invest in a few trends this season, make one of them a great pair of flared jeans.

Ten (out of my budget but gorgeous) – FRINGE is an obsession for many. If like me, you can’t get enough of this 70’s trend, then you will love this more affordable option.

Eleven – Super cute and perfect with longer knits and leggings.

Tassel This + Tassel That

Tassels and fringe took over the pom pom trend in a big way. While pom pom’s dress up a cute beach tote and make for fabulous party decor, tassels have landed on everything fashionable and trendy. From garland to jewelry to clothing, you can find these little strands of leather, beads, or fabric dangling off just about everything. If you are looking to mix more of this trend into your personal style, here are a few inspiring pieces. For the girl who will spend a little more on shoes, these Pollini leather and fringe sandals are amazing and on sale! Or keep it simple with a leather key chain. Would make a great gift too!

P.S. I’m working on a DIY tassel project that I can’t wait to share! Enjoy your weekend.

St. Patty’s Day – All things Green

Bringing all things pretty and green your way today! Something for everyone in this roundup. Wishing I was working at this lovely World Market table indulging in the coconut scent of this Voluspa candle. Even better would be sitting across from my hubby sipping San Francisco’s best Irish Coffee from the Buena Vista. Hmm, might have to make that happen later. Sending this quote your way!

“May your day be touched by a bit of Irish Luck, brightened by a song in your heart, and warmed by the smiles of the people you LOVE”

Happy St. Patty’s Day! Don’t get pinched. Unless, like our house, you have little leprechaun toddlers running around pinching, regardless of wearing green or not. Look out!

Currently Craving Color

Craving_ColorI know we haven’t even hit Spring yet (first day – March 20th), but I’m craving loads of color, pattern, and texture lately. Maybe it’s that San Francisco is sunny and beautiful the past few days, or it could be that I’m dreaming of a relaxing vacation documenting my hilarious toddlers in this journal. Either way, eating granola and fresh fruit out of these adorable bowls, or throwing on this tropical romper (25% off) would make me happy!

Summer Wardrobe Essentials

Summer Esentials
Summer days will soon be here, which makes me excited for trendy rompers, sexy sandals, and glamorous hats! Before every season, I take a peek at my wardrobe and think about the key pieces I’d like to add, but they must be mom-functional. I’m often running from preschool, to a meeting, and then to the park. I like items that can mix and match and be dressed up or down. My wardrobe is lacking in rompers and an everyday sundress like the versatile denim option above. I love the look of mixing patterns, and this leopard print clutch goes with everything, day or night! Neon colors are on trend, and I’m a child of the 90’s… but I just can’t rock an entire neon outfit. I’ll leave that to my teenage years, but I love being on point with some bright sandals. The crisp white jacket is always a must in San Francisco, and can be worn over just about anything. I put together a collection of items that will spruce up my summer attire. What are your summer wardrobe essentials? Happy shopping!
