Three Things

Hope everyone scored some great deals for Christmas during Black Friday/Cyber week. We certainly did! Here’s another post for my Three Things series! As Christmas and New Years approach I’ve been brainstorming tablescape ideas. It’s a process I truly enjoy. Although I love traditional holiday decor, I wanted to do something more playful and unexpected. I also wanted the table to excite the children, so when I popped in Marshalls the other day and found these adorable Nutcracker themed goodies, I knew I’d found my tablescape! How fun are these colors? Our Marshalls had plenty more of these Nutcracker items, so I’m guessing yours might too, if you feel so inspired to do the same. I can’t wait to build off this idea and share what our table looks like for Christmas 2016! As I create our table decor, I’ll be adding pics on Instagram if you need inspo! You could also just do this theme for the kids table!

I’ve just recently started using Vichy products and I’m really loving their masks. My skin gets dull and dry during the winter so it’s been a great addition to my routine. Stay tuned for a full review after a few more weeks using their products! Wishing you all a wonderful week!

Wedding Snaps

Everything from the dreamy red barn to the stunning chandeliers hanging from the ceiling made this Tahoe wedding absolutely gorgeous! However, I think my favorite part of the night was the love shared between the stunning bride and handsome groom. Truly a magical day.

Easy Halloween Banner

Three Things

One of my favorite places to find great holiday decor is on Etsy. I have a collection of buntings and banners that I hang on my mantel for all sorts of events and holidays. It’s so easy to download the art and have it printed at your local Kinkos. I found an orange and black checkered ribbon to pipe the banner through for an extra punch of Halloween!

Three Things

This past week was rainy in the Bay Area but that’s a good thing! With this weather, we hope the Tahoe snow sticks around a bit longer this year. We are ready to hit the slopes, sip hot cocoa, and go sledding. Three things. 1. I’ve been excited to share that we finally received our Pottery Barn Chandelier (available in different shapes and sizes). It brings that touch of glam to the kitchen/family room area I was looking for. Tell me what you think! 2. Our neighbor helped hang this beauty, not an easy task, so gifting chocolate chip cookies was a must. A kraft box and brown marker can make a cute and easy way to gift cookies. 3. A girlfriend introduced me to Airbrush Foundation and its fabulous. There are many airbrush foundations to choose from, but at $28 the Sephora brand felt luxurious and budget friendly. Two things I like in a makeup. Lightweight and easy to apply, it provides a little extra coverage for special events. Just remember to use your favorite primer before, for a more dewy look. Especially if you have dry skin like me.

Invites

{ Watercolor Wedding Invitations }

I hope everyone had a lovely Father’s Day weekend! We celebrated with a swim party and family picnic. I’m so grateful for the father that raised me, and for my husband, who amazes me with our children everyday. Life is blessed!

Speaking of blessings. Next month we celebrate the marriage of two close friends. How GORGEOUS are these beachy wedding invitations? The bride’s girlfriend, Cyrene, offered to watercolor and print each invitation for the couple. I love the varying shades of turquoise with the gold lettering. They turned out like a piece of art – just beautiful! Visit here to contact or see more of Cyrene’s talents.

I finally decided to see what all the fuss is about with ACV. Social media has been full of articles on the benefits of this funky tasting vinegar. Two weeks ago I came down with a fever and sore throat. DR. OZ recommended mixing water + 2 tbsp of ACV + honey to soothe the throat. I added a little lemon and I truly believe it helped me recover faster. Read here for other benefits like using ACV as a digestive aid, clearing up skin, or whitening teeth! Heads up – the taste takes some getting used to!

I adore all the floral prints out right now! This skirt is so versatile. I can’t wait to pair it with some strappy sandals and a striped tank for a more casual approach. Loving this floral option and this vintage print too! Until next time..

Three Things

The past three weeks have been super busy, but in a good way! If you caught my last post, then you know we were traveling for a week. Life is back to its normal chaos; school, activities, work, and social events. Adding to the mix, myself and two friends/fellow bloggers are attending a journaling class for five weeks. Our hopes – expand creatively, improve skills, and spiritually..dive a little deeper. We are in the second week of classes, and it’s been more than I expected. I’ve been jotting down notes, favorite quotes, and other tidbits to share once the class has ended. Journaling is much more than just writing (I’m sure many of you agree), and it’s been therapeutic to pick it up again. Since my journal exercises have been more intense and personally reflective, I’m happy to be taking a break from my serious side. Today’s series,Three Things, is all about simple and beautiful items that I’ve recently picked up.

BowlsI finally purchased these lovely bowls. Mornings are crazy getting out the door, and I LOVE my coffee time. More often than not, I savor my coffee too long, feed and dress the kids, but forget or leave little time to eat. I’m hoping these beautiful bowls will remind me, that it only takes a few minutes to incorporate a healthy breakfast each day.

LipstickI love a nude lip. Especially paired with a smokey eye. After trying several brands, this has been my favorite nude lip set, but sadly is no longer available. If you love what you see, go to a Mac store, and request a similar color scheme as the Mac Keepsake Nude Lip bag.

Target_bagThis bag from Target, is fabulous. I’ve used it as a beach bag, or a tote for carrying all the kids park necessities. Loving the bright colors and great pattern. Target never fails. I heart Target!
