Easter Recap – A Few of My Favorite Things

Easter is a beautiful holiday. A time to recognize sacrifices made before us, and be grateful for the blessings in our lives. Most years, we celebrate with extended family, often at one of my uncle’s super-fun farmhouses. Many of my favorite childhood memories are Easters spent with my cousins, horseback riding, searching for baskets filled with treats, eating deviled eggs, and simply.. being kids. My care-free childhood days may be long ago, but I love sharing old family traditions with our kids, and building new memories. This year was a smaller gathering, and although I missed seeing my extended family, it was simple and sweet. Having a love for entertaining and decor, I offered to style the tablescape. I focused on keeping it bright and fun, perfect for both kids and adults. The brunch consisted of a savory casserole (all recipe’s below), sweet monkey bread, a mixture of berry scones, fresh fruit, and Bobby Flay’s divine Guava and Papaya Mimosa’s.

Picture time is always entertaining with the Kimbrough family. This is actually pretty good for our crew. Someone is usually sticking their tongue out, yelling, or trying to escape the picture..you know how that goes. Happy Monday to you all! We hope you had a very blessed holiday!
