H E L L O Fall!!! Team Kimbrough is so happy you’ve arrived and we are ready to eat anything and everything pumpkin related! So Sunday night I came down with a pretty bad fever/flu bug. Ugh, probably the only down fall to this time of year is the onset of flu season. I’m trying so hard to keep it from taking down the entire family because it’s a pretty nasty bug. That being said, I’ve been forced to lay in bed (eh um..when I can, still have to Mom all day) which has given me the opportunity to look up some yummy fall recipes. I’m looking forward to warm and hearty stews, casseroles, and lots of delicious baking! But that’s another post. Today is all about this Anthro-inspired Navy Embroidered Boho dress. I could pretty much buy everything at Anthropologie; the clothing, dishes, bedding, it’s all gorgeous. So, when I find a cute outfit that reminds me of something I’d purchase from Anthro for a fraction of the price, I get pretty excited to share it with my readers. This dress is just that! The heavier fabric will keep you warm in the coming months and the navy and red combo is perfect for transitioning to Fall. Navy and denim are everywhere! The embroidery detail on this dress is amazing, as it runs all the way down the super-cute exaggerated sleeves. It’s just the perfect fall dress with booties or boots! Snag it here for $36 and let your friends think it’s from Anthro…I won’t tell!
The past three weeks have been super busy, but in a good way! If you caught my last post, then you know we were traveling for a week. Life is back to its normal chaos; school, activities, work, and social events. Adding to the mix, myself and two friends/fellow bloggers are attending a journaling class for five weeks. Our hopes – expand creatively, improve skills, and spiritually..dive a little deeper. We are in the second week of classes, and it’s been more than I expected. I’ve been jotting down notes, favorite quotes, and other tidbits to share once the class has ended. Journaling is much more than just writing (I’m sure many of you agree), and it’s been therapeutic to pick it up again. Since my journal exercises have been more intense and personally reflective, I’m happy to be taking a break from my serious side. Today’s series,Three Things, is all about simple and beautiful items that I’ve recently picked up.
I finally purchased these lovely bowls. Mornings are crazy getting out the door, and I LOVE my coffee time. More often than not, I savor my coffee too long, feed and dress the kids, but forget or leave little time to eat. I’m hoping these beautiful bowls will remind me, that it only takes a few minutes to incorporate a healthy breakfast each day.
I love a nude lip. Especially paired with a smokey eye. After trying several brands, this has been my favorite nude lip set, but sadly is no longer available. If you love what you see, go to a Mac store, and request a similar color scheme as the Mac Keepsake Nude Lip bag.
This bag from Target, is fabulous. I’ve used it as a beach bag, or a tote for carrying all the kids park necessities. Loving the bright colors and great pattern. Target never fails. I heart Target!
I know we haven’t even hit Spring yet (first day – March 20th), but I’m craving loads of color, pattern, and texture lately. Maybe it’s that San Francisco is sunny and beautiful the past few days, or it could be that I’m dreaming of a relaxing vacation documenting my hilarious toddlers in this journal. Either way, eating granola and fresh fruit out of these adorable bowls, or throwing on this tropical romper (25% off) would make me happy!
