It’s October 24th and we are expected to hit 90 degrees in Danville today! I’m trying to stay positive but I’m really missing Fall, warm lattes, soups, brisk morning walks with Louis, and lots of cozy layers. We are hosting Thanksgiving and I’m starting to think I should tell everyone to bring their swimsuits, lol! When we shot this look, it did have all the Fall feels so it must be coming to stay soon!
Y’all know I adore boho-style and color, but lately I’ve been wearing lots of muted staples like this green knit sweater. It’s super cozy and a tad chunky without looking bulky on. You can shop this sweater on sale for $18 here! How cute would it look with a plaid shirt layered under or a plaid scarf wrapped around your neck. I’m also so excited to share I found my Sam Edelman leopard leather and fur booties for almost half the price! Wahoo! These booties have been a huge hit on my Instagram account lately! Some sizes are already gone, so hurry and grab them. Shop the rest of my look below and some of my other fall finds at various price points! The Target velvet wine colored crossbody linked looks high-end and at only $30 it’s such a steal.
If you caught my Instagram stories last Sunday, then you know I attended the sweetest garden themed baby shower! The ladies who hosted did such a fabulous job. When I looked at my gorgeous friend who is due in 5 weeks with her first child, I couldn’t help but think about being pregnant with my own kids. It seems so long ago, but I still remember the feeling of them rolling and kicking in my tummy. Pregnancy can be hard for some and easy for others, but it’s amazing that women are able to grow and give life. Truly a gift (even if some of us are sick the entire time)! So, let’s talk about this dress and jacket! I bought this jacket last year and because it’s suede I wear it year round! If you are looking to add a colored suede jacket to your wardrobe then look no further than this one! I promise that you will wear it all the time! My Flame of Love Dress is from one of my favorite boutiques – Yellow Peppers and it’s currently 50% off at $30, so HURRY and snag it! I love the print of it. I’m wearing a small (my usual size) but I actually feel like I should have ordered the medium. If your bra size is larger than a C cup, then I’d suggest you order up from your normal size because it will be a tad tight on your chest. You can shop the rest of my look below the post, with several options/price points for the blush jacket.
It’s been another magical year of motherhood! I rounded up a few candid pics (above) from the past year! Our fur baby, Louis, has brought so much love to our family. Audrey has become an avid reader and continues to write/illustrate her own novels. Her imagination and creativity continues to amaze us! She hopes to be an author or singer one day! She’s busy with basketball, soccer, tennis, Girl Scouts, and soon piano! Jack has found his love of golf as he enters his first golf academy! His teacher’s seem to think he is extremely bright, and I’ve found I have a little heartbreaker on my hands. He is my old soul, extremely gentle and kind-hearted. Art, soccer, and music are a few of his favorite things, but mostly he still likes cuddling with mommy! I’ll take it as long as I can! Motherhood is a journey. It’s not always easy, but it’s an amazing gift. I’m so blessed to be their mama and I’m so grateful to have learned from the best! Which leads me to my own mother…
For the past two years I’ve written/drafted a post or I guess more of a tribute to my own mother. I have a collection of stories and moments that I reflect on, this part is easy for me. It’s more the emotion behind it all that gets me. Nothing I have written thus far is good enough, sigh. I know she would love anything I say about her, and she’d tell me it’s the best thing she has ever read. That being said, my words of how truly special she is to me, and to so many people in her life seem to still not do her justice. So, until my words/tribute are perfect I’ll simply say Thank You, Mom! You have been the best example of EVERYTHING in my life. I love you to the moon and back!
Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing mamas! I hope that you were spoiled silly today! Know that your job as a mom is truly the most important role you will every have and that it goes way too fast!!! Cherish these moments!
We had such a lovely vacation with the kids in Kauai! I’m still sorting through all my pics so stay tuned for a Travel Diary (last one here) coming to a glaMoMorous life soon. We ate some fabulous local island cuisine that I can’t wait to share about! Today’s post is all about this lovely green dress! I just adore the colors of this airy dress with the varying hues of green! Turquoise has long been a favorite color of mine but I find myself loving these greens! Maybe it’s all those palm tree prints that are sweeping summer fashion. Anyhow this dress is such a steal at $24. It’s top rated and I love that it’s the perfect shape for all body types! I’m wearing a size small (my usually size) and it has plenty of room. I’d say if you usually wear a size medium you could probably get away with a small. Shop it here, it’s definitely one of my new favorite dresses for summer!
My wardrobe during winter was grey, black, camo, and touches of blush on repeat! More recently I’m adoring all the floral prints that are making a big splash with major retailers and small boutiques. It’s such a girly trend but you can also find tropical prints such as a palm print that doesn’t feel as girly. My dress is from one of my favorite online retailers, Jane.com and I highly recommend shopping/checking out the site. It’s a favorite of mine for finding trendy clothing, house hold items, kid gear, gifts, and more at a discount price. This blue cold shoulder floral dress was from Jane.com for only $34.99! I recently had a girls night out so I threw it on with some booties and tassel earrings to dress it up a bit! The floral trend is so easy to take from day to night making it super versatile! My dress was sold out but I linked a bunch of my favorite floral finds at the bottom of this post! I’m obsessed with the floral wrap dress linked and the Ted Baker clutch is so beautiful! Hope everyone had a lovely Easter! xx
