Did I say bodysuit? Oh yes I did. Last year, when the bodysuit trend first started making a comeback I had very mixed emotions. I wore these in my teenage years, am I really bringing them back?! I specifically remember a navy blue plaid bodysuit that I wore often and to my first concert, New Kids On The Block. Still one of the best bands ever! I was a Jordan fan! Did I age myself yet? Lol! But back to this trend. Like many fashionistas I enjoy embracing new trends, but I have to find pieces that work for both my style and age. I tried on various styles – the mesh and lace bodysuits were definitely too sexy for my everyday style, but I did find a few lace-up ones that I liked. Next, I tried on some off-the-shoulder bodysuits and knew this was more my style speed. I like the way the bodysuit creates a flat tummy when tucked in with jeans or, as you can see in this style post, a high-waisted denim skirt. The off-the-shoulder look is stylish without feeling too young for me, and the palm print is right on trend! Y’all know how I believe good fashion doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Snag this bodysuit here for only $15. I’m wearing a medium because I was afraid it might be too tight for me, but I could have worn the small. I’d say it’s true to size, but you can size up if busty. How cute would this be with white denim or a white maxi skirt? It would also make a great addition to your vacation wardrobe!

How are we approaching the end of July? Didn’t summer just begin? The kids start TK and 1st grade in 4 weeks and I’m just not ready to let go of summer! The past several weeks we’ve built so many wonderful memories. Luckily, we have one more month to live it up before schedules take over!
Let’s talk about this tie dye maxi dress! It’s been on repeat this summer for many reasons. It’s light and flowy, doesn’t wrinkle, can be rolled for easy travel, and goes with just about any accessories. Bonus- it has pockets! You can grab it here for $23, which is a steal for the quality of this maxi. I’m wearing the small and it has room so I recommend sizing down a size. Trending Now –> knots at the bottom of maxi dresses. Scroll to the bottom and see how cute and easy it is to add a knot to your dress! Perfect for those beach days when you don’t want to drag the bottom of your dress.
The tassel trend is still one of my favorites, especially in the summertime, but I’m also loving ruffles these days. How cute are the sleeves on this dress and the ruffle hemline?! The fit is lose and comfy which y’all know I love, and the stripes give a nod to nautical which I also adore. Grab this dress for only $19 here! In other news, I turned another year older! In recent years birthday’s seem to have brought more meaning than presents and cake. I find myself reflecting on what I’ve done and what I hope to accomplish in the future. I remember my mom always telling me that her mid 30’s and 40’s were some of her favorite years. While I haven’t reached my 40’s I am really loving my mid 30’s. Getting older isn’t just about those laugh lines creeping up. With age you gain a stronger confidence in yourself. You value real relationships that only make your life better. I’ve discovered my goal in life is really to be the best version of myself. The best mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend as possible. So CHEERS to getting older!
Stay on trend this New Years and embrace your girlie glam side! Nothing screams “Belle of the Ball” like a blush tulle maxi paired with a gorgeous sequins top. I adore this look, but you don’t have to shop this exact look. I often take inspiration from an outfit that one of my favorite bloggers or brands style and then put my own twist on it. One of my 2017 goals for a glaMoMorous life is to show readers how to do this as well. How to use what you have in your closet to embrace a trend rather than buying everything. To my readers that prefer direct shopping links..DON’T WORRY!! I’ll still have lots of shoppable posts because I know many of you prefer the ease of seeing an outfit and being able to click and buy. For my ladies who like getting a little inspo and then trying to recreate a look, this is actually easier to recreate than you think! Let’s talk it out. If you have a long maxi skirt in a solid color (doesn’t need to be tulle) then you’re half way there. Odds are you might own a gold, black, or silver sequins top (these colors go with everything). Tuck it in to accentuate your waist (if needed use spanx to keep it tight). Boom! You’re now the “Belle of the Ball”! Simple heels and a little red lipstick will up your glam factor! Note – If you don’t have a sequins top and want to try and grab one at the last minute, H&M, Forever 21, Zara, and Charlotte Russe (yes I typed that, ya know my love of mixing high and low) are your best bet for finding one quickly!
2016 was a remarkable year! As I sit here, pondering my top 5 favorite moments to share, I realize it’s so hard to list just 5! However, for the sake of y’all, I will refrain from listing 100 favorite moments because well.. that’s just a bit ridiculous. So, in no particular order here are some of my favorite memories to share. I should mention that at first every moment was about my children, lol, but I decided I could incorporate a few others.
The moment my 6-year-old daughter started reading. I don’t mean putting a few words/sentences together, I’m talking full blown reading chapter books! I get so much joy out of hearing her read, and seeing the love she has for books. It’s an amazing mommy moment.
Watching my 3-year-old (now 4) son ski down the bunny hill without an ounce of fear. He was so tiny, all bundled up, wearing a big smile, blazing down the hill!
Celebrating my parents 40th anniversary. My mother and father are two of the most selfless, hard-working, loving individuals I know. They have been my greatest example of marriage, love, communication, and commitment. I am beyond blessed to have them as parents and grandparents to my children. Celebrating their 40th was a magical moment.
My blog! I started this as a hobby and outlet as a stay at home mom. I’ve pushed myself more than ever in 2016 and the hard work is paying off with more opportunities, brand collaborations, and recognition! I can’t wait for 2017!
If you follow my Instagram account then you know that we brought home our french bulldog fur baby, King Louis, in May of this year! We are over-the-moon in love and obsessed with our new family member. He brings us so much joy and truly completes our family!
Wishing y’all beautiful moments, treasured memories, and all the blessings a heart can know! Happy New Year! Blogger Note –> Of course on the day of shooting this beautiful look it was soooo sunny, so we ended up shooting in two different spots! Our second spot proved to have much better lighting!
Layers are the perfect look for winter time and this is such an easy look to duplicate. I love that the red in my plaid dress feels festive for Christmas and pairs perfectly with a faux fur vest and over the knee boots! It would also be cute paired with skinny jeans, a belt, and booties. You can grab my dress here for $20 (for reference I’m wearing a size small). Now let’s talk large totes! If you’re a mommy, then you know a great tote is one of your best friends. I think I can fit about 5 things in my small cross body bags, which is no good for lugging around crayons, snacks, band aids, wipes, and lovies. Regardless of trends, a mom always needs her totes! My large tassel tote was a fun find from Nordstrom Rack and fits everything I need when running around with the kids all day! I searched and searched for a similar tote and price point, but had no luck. My vest and Cole Haan boots are a few seasons old, but I found some great options (adore the Vince otk boots) to shop below! I can’t believe we are 5 days away from Santa’s big day! Who also feels like they need 36 hours in a day? Lol! Wishing y’all good luck finishing up your details the next few days! We all know at Christmas time, that being a Mommy = also being Santa’s BIGGEST helper!!
